The airline will be stationed in Cheongju,
the capital of North Chungcheong province in central South Korea, and it will
cater to international flights in Northeast Asia for an affordable cost.
KAIR Airlines partnered with Airbus for
eight single-aisle A320 aircraft, which means the plane will be meant for
economy class. The representative director and chairman of KAIR Airlines, Byung
Ho Kang stated, “We see enormous potential for the development of a low-cost
model linking central South Korea with destinations in China, Taiwan and Japan.
KAIR Airlines will focus on point-to-point services at low fares while offering
passengers a modern and fun product offering.”
“A brand new aircraft (A320) will be
perfect for our business model and customers, combining the lowest operating
costs with the widest cabin in the single aisle segment.” He added.
Along with KAIR Airlines – Easter Jet, Jeju
Air, Jin Air and T’way Airlines will be categorized as a low-cost carrier.
In the Philippines, some of the airlines
such as Cebu Pacific and Air Asia, have announced their low-cost fare flights
to several local places in the country and to other Asian countries as well
such as Seoul, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and many more. Air Asia low-cost air
fares will be available starting this month (March) up until August. The Cebu
Pacific airfare will be available from June up until December.
