Jang Hyuk Will Portray As A Villain

The star of the OCN Korean drama “Voice” will be playing the role of a villain for the movie “Ordinary People. The press conference was held in Apgujeong CGV, in Gangnam, Seoul last February 23.

Because of how strong his charisma is, those who attended the press conference is expecting a lot from the actor.

The movie “Ordinary People” is set in the 80s and illustrates the life of a detective that was broken by a serial murder case in the country.

This film also features Son Hyun Joo and Kim Sang Ho. It will be released in the theaters in March.

Kevin Woo Withdraws From U-KISS

On March 2, an announcement has been made that Kevin Woo, who debuted with U-KISS on 2008 decided to withdraw from the group.

A statement by his company NH EMG, was posted at their official fan café explaining why he decided to leave.

“Hello.

This is NHemg. Our agency artist and U-KISS member Kevin, will end his conrtract on March 2017. While there is a month left, we wanted to tell the fans first, so we are posting this notice to inform you.

First, we’re sorry to for this regrettable news to the fans who are always supportive. Kevin will be going on a different path to pursue his dreams, which we and the members have decided to respect.

Kevin debuted through U-KISS in 2008 and has been faithful, and reliable as a member for nine years from the beginning to now.

Since this was a decision that should be made carefully, after a long time of thinking and discussions, we have decided to respect Kevin’s wishes. Thus Kevin will be leaving U-KISS and his contract will end.

We will hold a last meeting for the fans with U-KISS as a six-member group in Korea and Japan. We ask that many people attend in order to support U-KISS and Kevin.

We are making preparations to reorganize U-KISS as a five-member group in order for the group to shine in front of the fans. We also plan on releasing a new album this year and have domestic schedules.

We sincerely apologize for making the fans worry due to relaying this news later because we were discussing this carefully. Lastly, we ask that fans support U-KISS members and Kevin.”

Be "COATABLE"

A coat completes the whole outfit, but because there are different designs it gives off different auras.

Here we have Uee, Yoona and Jeon So Min with their outfits.

UEE

Uee wore a coat that speaks back to the basic. The star attended the VIP premiere of the movie “My Little Brother” and she gained a lot attention from the press. She wore a white blouse, boot-cut denim jeans and matched it with a beige trench coat. An additional bonus to the whole ensemble was her short hair.

YOONA

Yoona was seen at the airport because of her schedule overseas. She wore a double coat that gave off a warm and the perfect look. The double coat is known as the “tteokbokki coat” which makes the look sound cute and young.

JEON SO MIN

Jeon So Min was also at the VIP premiere of “My Little Brother” wearing a black and white outfit and matched with a bright red long coat.

Independence Movement Day

This day commemorates the time when Korean’s resisted the occupation of the Japanese and fought their independence. It is sometimes called Samil Independence because Samil literally means “Three-One Movement” or “March First Movement”. It can also be referred to Manse Demonstrations because as the activists were rallying they were shouting the word “Manse”, which meant “Hooray!”.

It all started on March 1, 1919 when the South Koreans were rallying for their independence when Japan ruled their country after the end of the Joseon Dynasty. This movement was one of the earliest public displays of Korean resistance.

The Japanese Empire started repressing the freedom of the Koreans during 1905. Until the “Fourtain Points” (a statement of principles of peace) by President Woodrow Wilson declared at the Paris Peace Conference in January 1919.

There were 33 activists who formed the Samil Movement in Taehwagwan Seoul and read the Korean Declaration of Independence.

Then on May 24, 1919, March 1 was designated a national holiday.
