Last September 9, 2017,
one of the biggest Filipino-Korean Event happened at the Aliw Theater, Pasay.
The 26th Annual Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival was
organized by the United Korean Community Association in the Philippines
together with, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines, Embassy of the
Republic of Korea in the Philippines and National Commission for Culture and
Arts. The event showcased a lot of Korean and Filipino performances as well as
guest appearances from Busan Gugak, Serotonin Performing Arts Company, Ballet
Manila and Kpop Boy Group, OFFROAD.
Aside from the performances and cultural show, one of the
highlights of the event was the Booth Activities. Organizations and well known
companies like the Department of Tourism, BDO, Korea Tourism Organization,
Asiana Airlines, Lock & Lock, Megaworld, Philippine Kpop Community and
Arirang Town Philippines as well as the organizing team, UKCA, NCCA, KCC and
ShowBT Philippines Corp. participated in the said activity. Different foods
ranging from Korean snacks to Korean meals were served at the lobby. There was
also a photo op wall ready for the welcoming guests and a booth where people
can try wearing Hanbok, a Korean traditional dress. While people were busy
roaming around and trying out different booths, there were small performances
prepared for the audience and random KPOP music played for everyone to enjoy.
Indeed this year’s PHIL-KOR 2017 showcased a lot of exciting activities for
everyone and gained positive feedbacks from the participants.
Here's a quick look at some of the pictures at the booth area taken last Phil-Kor:
